I have had several Nest Cameras (1st Gen) for several years. I recently purchased two new Google Nest Camera's (White ones) and am unable to view the history of these cameras or open them in the Nest App. They only want to install in the Google Home app. Is this the new way going forward? If so, I may return them, as the functionality is no where near what was offered in the Nest App. Thank you.

The newer Google Nest cameras and doorbells released starting in Sept. 2021 work ONLY in the Google Home app, and, since Oct. 2022, on the "preview"/beta home.google.com website (where there is no history).
We bought a battery camera in Sept. 2021 and have been waiting ever since for improvements to match what we already had in the Google Nest app with our older cameras and doorbells.

If that is the case, then why would they advertise for Nest Aware with the new cameras if they can’t rewind? False advertising? These cameras are going back.

Your Nest Aware subscription works for all cameras and doorbells--old and new--that are in the same Google Nest "home/structure". But for the newer cameras and doorbells, you have to use the Google Home app to view history.
