Change wifi password of Nest Cam (floodlight/battery)

Hi,

I have changed the password of my wifi network and need to update connected devices. I have 2 "old" Nest cams (that I can access through the Nest app) and for those it was straightforward to update the wifi details.

For the newer Nest Cam with floodlight (same as the Nest Cam battery) I can't find anywhere in the Google Home app that lets me change the wifi settings. I'm worried that removing and re-adding the device will delete all the history and familiar faces, which I'd want to avoid doing.

How can I change the wifi settings of these cameras?

Thanks!

It is not as easy as the old Nest App. Basically, you will probably have to do a factory reset of the camera if you didn't already remove it from Google Home app.

After receiving this response, I got on my ladder, reset the camera, readjusted the angle (the reset button is on the back, so I had to move the camera to reach it), had to redraw the active zones, and now it's working. Not very well thought-out. All I did was change the wifi password.

Thanks, that's not ideal as I'll lose all the settings and history. Sounds like a downgrade from the Nest app.

So this is saying if I simply change my network password I Have to go thru the process of removing and adding back all my cameras.   What a huge design failure.  Nest has gotten so much worse after google got in the picture.
