Doorbell and new cameras (battery)

When will the new cameras including the doorbell (battery) be available to be viewed from a web browser or added to the Home Nest account?

This is something I have been using for years and just bought 2 new devices only to find they don't have the feature.  Making them pointless for me.

I'm about the return them and change all my cameras to something else that has the functionality, but willing to wait if the features are planned and coming soon.

All that's been announced so far is that Google plan to introduce a version of the Google Home app that will allow cameras to be viewed from a website sometime this year.

Wondering the same. The lack of viewing on a browser or not being able to record a clip when not an event are 2 features that I reall want them to add for the newer hoe app cameras

@SteveT1  what would be helpful is a real answer.  Seems on all fronts we get the same canned response.  More details would be great.  Obviously, Google messed up and functionality we currently have is not available for new cameras.  We just want to know if it is coming, maybe a general time line.  

These are important things to know.  I need to know if I have to return all my stuff and change to another vendor that has the functionality that I expect and had previously.
