This is some advice for others who have 24/7 recording and would like to download video clips from footage with no activity.
It's not the best solution, but the only way I know how. Use a screen record app. I have a Samsung phone with a built-in screen record app feature. Load the video clip on Google Home, hit record on the screen record app. Play the event that occurred on Nest and the screen record app will record the event.
It's sad that this is only way to record and download a clip outside of a activity, but it's my workaround until there is a better solution.
Recently there was a theft that occurred in my neighborhood. My camera didn't pick up the event as an activity, but it was recorded due to paying for the nest aware subscription. I had to manually find and record the event to share it with my neighbor.

I didn't need any advice, I was providing a workaround solution for others who are wondering how to download an event outside of a activity.
