Iphone 13 won't load devices on Google Home app while off wifi

My wife's iPhone 13 pro max will not connect to the devices accessed through Google home while she is off Wi-Fi. It works perfectly fine when she is on Wi-Fi, but as soon as Wi-Fi is disconnected (manually or by distance) and she's on data (whether at home or not), it will no longer work. As a result, she's unable to view live or recorded video from the nest doorbell 2nd gen  and the Google nest hub won't show what's on the photo frame. The doorbell says it's "offline" and the nest hub endlessly says it's connecting. It's not a wifi problem because it works for her while her phone is on Wi-Fi. It's not a data bandwidth issue as we have unlimited data, I tried it in a good coverage area, and, just to verify, was able to use Wikipedia and TikTok on her phone while on data. Also my pixel 7 pro phone, on the same unlimited plan, works fine with Google home while on data. Any help would be much appreciated.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the Google home app has seemed to work. I don't know why that would make any difference, but it did.

@bhartranft

Under Settings | Cellular on your wife's iPhone, is "Google Home" turned on?  Does it show any usage?

You could, suppose, try deleting and reinstalling the Google Home app on her phone.

As just another customer in this forum, I've seen other reports where access works for one household member but not another, with no clear resolution.
