Is there a way I can program my Nest system to turn on Camera 2 only when Camera 1 detects motion and have it stay on for a certain length of time?

I have 2 cameras (1 in the foyer/doorway, 1 in the kitchen) and would like to only have the kitchen camera turn on when the doorway camera senses motion, then turn off once there is no motion in the kitchen. Is this possible?

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this, as I can imagine it has been an inconvenience. I would love to look into this further for you. If you have a camera older than 2021, you can see if you can set up a camera schedule in the Nest app. Besides that, I don't believe that this would be a possibility in the Google Home app. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,
Brad

My cameras are newer and run off of Google home rather than the nest app, unfortunately. I have not found a way in schedules to trigger the action I'm looking for

Hey there,

I'm sorry for the delay. Programing the two cameras when detect motions isn't available. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take this as feedback. Keep your eye on the Google Nest Community page https://goo.gle/2JvnMRy for any updates. Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns as I will be locking this in 24 hours if I won't hear back from you again. Feel free to start a new thread and we'll be happy to help.

Check out this link on how to file feedback.
