My Nest Hello is peeling

Galroc
Community Member

House is getting re-sided, and the Nest Hello was removed temporarily.
My Nest Hello is peeling, and the protective lens fell out. It is out of warranty. The peeling seems to be a product design issue as I have seen many posts about it. $229 new, and didn't last.

So unfortunate you pay over 200 bucks for it to go bad and be out of warranty. Mine is peeling and it rings when it wants to. I will take my chances with ring doorbell.

Hi @Galroc

As you have read, there are many posts about this. Google/Nest won't replace out of warranty Hellos even with the peeling, unfortunately.

@Maybaby1313 I will be switching brands as well. Looking at Kasa now. I don't think I can trust Nest to make a good outdoor smart doorbell. I have other nest products, but won't be buying another doorbell from them.
