Nest Cam Outdoor keeps going offline

Hello41

I have had a Google nest outdoor cam for a little over 6 months now and since day one it has gone offline for 10 or more minutes at least 3 times a day. I have doorbell and one other outdoor cam and they do not have any issues. I have tried all of the recommended troubleshooting and I still does it. Please help!

Weak WiFi signal, my guess is that camera is a bit farther way from your Access Point than the other devices?

If possible, move the AP Closer and reboot your camera OR vise versa as a test, move the camera next to the AP for 1/2 day and test.

Must Have a Strong Wifi at all times... IF you have too many devices sharing the AP, your ISP internet plan is too small, Add more Upload to your plan, basically upgrade the curcuit.

I don't think it is a wifi issue. If it was that, my 2 other devices would have the same issues. But they work perfectly.

It could be that @MaxPrime is correct, but - just be aware...

I had similar issues with one of my Nest Indoor cameras which had worked fine for a few months and then starting disconnecting and reconnecting intermittently.

Nest support just blamed my Wifi - even though no other devices - including a camera located much further away from my Wifi router - had any issues. I contacted Nest support several times and each time they just blamed the wifi.

In the end I was able to get a replacement directly from the retailer and sure enough, the new camera has been working fine in the same location with the same wifi equipment - no disconnects.

Exactly, I have good wifi, the device isn't far from my router, and no other device has had issues except this one. It's just annoying because every day it goes offline multiple times.

Is it still in the warranty period? If Google Nest don't help, then just try taking it back to the retailer - try and get them to replace it?
