Hi there,
Many cameras have an "anti-flicker" setting, which changes the video between 50Hz / 60Hz so that if you have lights that are on 50Hz for example, the camera can be synced to the lighting frequency and you don't see a flicker. I don't see such a setting on Nest Cams.
I took a Nest Cam that I bought in the US to Europe and I definitely get some flicker with the lighting. Is it possible to enable a change to 50Hz in the software? The Nest Cams are already available in Europe... it seems odd if two totally different models are actually being built and this can't be done in the configuration.
Thanks!

The reason different models are made is because Google Nest products are optimized to work best with specific Wi-Fi standards depending on where they are sold. As an example, the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band is regulated differently around the world. Products manufactured for use in the US can use the 5 GHz band in a way that is not allowed in the EU and UK. This is also why Google don't recommend using Nest cameras in a different country than where they were purchased.
As for the setting you're looking for, I’d encourage you to also send this feedback directly to Google. You will not receive a response, unless Google need more details from you, however the team are still reading the feedback.
