Anyone else think it is pitiful that you can't stream Nest Cam Battery and Doorbell to your TV using Chromecast with Google TV?
I have my house covered in these Google cameras and my TVs all have Chromecast with Google TV and the devices don't work together.
I would have been better off buying a third party camera as it would work with the Chromecast.

Hi WilliamFoster,
I'm with you on this, I really wished that you could view the 2nd Gen Nest cameras on Chromecast devices as you can with the 1st Gen. Google has announced that it is added more features soon.

I just got a Chromecast and have been banging my head on the wall for hours trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Then I found this thread saying that the only reason I bought a Chromecast won't work...even though Google advertises that it will work. All I want to do is be able to see who is at the door on my TV. Not sure why this is so difficult. I have (4) of the Google Nest 2nd gen battery cameras, (1) of the floodlight cameras, (1) of the Nest doorbells, and (1) of the indoor cameras, and now I find out that none of them will work on the Chromecast...
Maybe time to switch everything over to Ring. Their system just works without issues, and they have an alarm option as well.

The Google Nest team recently announced a working Alexa / Fire TV skill.
I really hope that they announce Chromecast compatibility soon also.
