Nest Computer not working, but App is

I am struggling with my Nest installation, I have a wired Nest Indoor Camera (Gen 1), Wired Doorbell, and Wired Outdoor (not IQ).  I am starting to experience intermittency on connectivity to all cameras, there has been no change in Wi-Fi, in fact I have cable internet upgraded to 200Mps as well as Mesh Wi-Fi, all has been working fine.   My biggest issue is that the Nest connectivity through a PC, although shows the history, it does not play it anymore through Google Chrome.  Everything is up to date, however I just have a blue spinning wheel.

All camera's have been hard re-set, and re-installed into the app, still same problem.  It has worked in the past, but now, both historical and Live playback doesn't work?  I have historical timelines, Zone markers appear, but no playback?


...also tried in Microsoft Edge, and same problem, this is a Nest issue,




Curious. We usually use Firefox, but I just tried playing back historical footage using Chrome and did not have a problem (on a Mac in the US). Can you play back history from the Google Nest app?

@SharazMir uh-oh! I'm sorry to hear that. Let's see what's going on — how far are you trying to play back? As MplsCustomer asked you, can you play it back from your Google Home App?


Give these steps a try:

  • Try restarting your Nest Camera, Wifi router and your computer.
  • Reinstall your Chrome or Edge web browsers.
  • If the issue persists, try installing a different web browser.
