The Nest Hello doorbell works on front door and activates my existing indoor chime. The rear doorbell button no longer works. Both the front and rear buttons worked before installation.

Following. . . . I have had issues for months. I cannot get 2 doorbells to work either. The front worked until I installed the back.

I'm thinking that possibly the original transformer wire at the chime still needs to connect to the TRANS terminal and a jumper to the white Nest Hello round disk..... but have not tried it yet. I'd like to get an official Nest response.

Is your chime wired as shown in the "2 Nest Hellos with One Chime" diagram in this post?
Does your doorbell transformer meet the specs listed on this Google Nest Help page? Our second doorbell didn't work until we replaced our decades-old transformer (maybe 10 V?) with a 16 V 30 VA transformer. (It was a pain replacing it because it was mounted in an out-of-the-way spot.)

Also, our second doorbell still almost never worked until--as suggested in another post--we turned on the "Chime duration" setting (intended for electronic chimes) in the Google Nest app. Once it started working, we turned off that setting and the second doorbell has kept working.

I replaced the original transformer with a 16V 30VA trans before I installed the Hello doorbell. It operates well both camera and existing 30 year old chime. I don't want to install a 2nd Hello on the rear door.....just want my button to work on the rear. Thanks for the suggestions.

Sorry for not reading your post more carefully. You've probably already have done this as well, but is it wired as shown in the "1 Nest Hello, 1 Chime" diagram in this post? (The diagram doesn't apply to all chimes.)

None of the drawings show a plain old rear doorbell buttons. I'm about to try a jumper between the chime TRANS terminal and the Nest transformer wire.... hoping for no smoke.

I'm pretty sure that when I first installed a Nest Hello doorbell for our "front" door only a couple of years ago--leaving the old doorbell button in place for the "rear" door at that time--that I used the "1 Nest Hello, 1 Chime" diagram and didn't touch the wire (for the "rear doorbell button) connected to the "rear" connection in the chime.

Solved the problem..... I just needed a new doorbell button on the rear door. I'm an idiot for not replacing this old button first.

Not to piggy back on this post (but not one has commented on min in months), but am recommendation for getting the second doorbell to connect to the app/nest devices. My front door was the original working nest doorbell (wired), worked with the thermostat. Bought a new one for black Friday (back doorbell). Both worked for a few hours then one lost power. I upgraded the tranformer from a 10V to a 24V. I have deleted the Nest app/household. Deleted the devices. Turned off the power, internet modem, reset. No matter what I do I cannot get the front doorbell to connect. I always get a power error (it has power - blue circle) or a blue tooth error.

Are both doorbells on the same connection point? I am sorry, I am definitely no electrician so not sure what the terms are. I am wondering if the other doorbell cannot find a connection and may be stuck in some boot cycle maybe? If you are getting an error, what does the error state?
Best regards,
Brad.

As in the same chime box? I think so. I either get an NCxxx. Bluetooth error or a power error.

Hi Brad,
I do. I tried connecting it in airplane mode and didn’t have any lucky. Google said to take the doorbell off the wall, power it and connect it near the other one. I haven’t tried that yet. I have spent so much time, it seems crazy to take it off the wall and power a weird doorbell next to the other one.
Any input or suggestions are appreciate. Thanks!
