Hello all. Nest Hello doorbell lens cover is peeling. I contacted customer support, but they stated I was outside of my 1 year warranty and suggested I purchase a new doorbell. (Great sales pitch.)
I’m considering shifting my doorbell/cameras/door lock and thermostats over to Ring, but first wanted to see if anyone had had any luck with finding a replacement lens cover? (I obviously want to go the cheaper route if possible.)
I like having everything integrated, but don’t want to have to go through this again in 2 years after buying a new Hello.
Thanks all.

Hey there,
Thank you for your patience! If you're seeking a replacement, please fill out this form. If your device is no longer under warranty, we cannot offer a replacement. Unfortunately, we do not offer replacements for parts. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Best regards,
Brad

Most of us customers are told that Google Nest "cannot" replace a peeling doorbell if it is more than 1 year old because of the 1 year warranty, but on this post below, the customer says they were able to get theirs replaced because they were "just inside the 2 year warranty period":

Janthadeus,
I appreciate your help, but if you read my original post, I mentioned that I was outside of my warranty period. Brad specifically stated that “If your device is no longer under warranty, we cannot offer a replacement.” So I’m not sure of the point of filling out the form.
Brad also mentioned that you don’t offer replacement parts; unfortunate indeed.
MplsCustomer, thank you for the info. I’ll have to look more into that. I believe I am outside of 2 years though.

Hi there,
I know how you feel about this. If your Nest Hello doorbell (wired) is already outside the 2 year warranty period. We can have this checked first by our support team. Let’s have a better look — kindly fill out this form so we could further investigate.
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
JT
