Nest IQ Camera Outdoor

In November 2021, I purchased a new "Google-Nest" camera to add to my other five cameras.    I own two outdoor IQ cameras, a wired nest doorbell and two nest indoor cameras.     I discovered immediately that I could not view, edit, save clips, using the web browser.    Have they lost their mind changing how customers want to view their video?    I immediately returned the camera.    Why is there this mindset where Google staff think everyone should use an app instead of a web browser?     My Nest Outdoor IQ (2018) is impeccable in reliability.    Why would they discontinue the ability to view video from a web browser to an app?     If this doesn't change, they will lose ALL my business.    I DO NOT want to use a freaking app all the time.     The ability to save/edit video clips is much easier using a browser.

I have a Nest camera system with 3 other Nest cameras which I monitor via browser. I order the new Outdoor Battery Camera when it first came out. I came and I spent 3 weeks on and off trying to get it to work with the browser. Then the "Community" caught up to the product and it became clear it was not intended to work with the browser. I tried to return it but Google refused to take it back because the 15 day return period has passed by less than 2 weeks.  The store people sent me to product support and the product support people blamed the store people and sent me back there.

I have the camera set up and so now I have to use to devices, computer and phone, to monitor my four Nest cameras. The battery camera only works in the history mode. In live mode it only displays "live video unavailable".

A very disappointing product and there is no product support to help the customer make it work.

Hey folks,

Thank you for your feedback on this issue, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest Cams in the Nest App or available on https://bit.ly/3HtBgJC web app. I can imagine having to use two different apps at the moment is quite daunting, and could lead to frustration.

However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support. I am more than happy to assist you further with this inquiry if you wish. Please let me know.

Best Regards,

Brad.
