Had doorbell and 2 indoor cams for 5 years and pay nest aware subscription
bought 2 new indoor cams and they don’t connect to nest app and can only view in google home app?!
can’t scroll any camera or use the quick 15 sec rewind button in the Google home app and now having to swap between 2 apps just to see what’s going on?!
this is poor….very poor!

Hi there,
Thank you for your feedback on this, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest cams in the Nest app like you may be used too. However, you can now use the Google Home web app to view your cameras and doorbells.
The new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support.

Hi Emerson, thanks for reaching out it is appreciated
basically we find the Google home app and viewing/playback clunky compare to old nest app.
we have 2 little ones who play in the playroom which has a camera and the ability to scrollback 15 seconds on the nest app was amazing. There is no facility on home app and this is what me and hubby use the most.
also downloading and saving clips is clunky compared to old system.
as soon as nest protect moves over we will have no use for the old app which is a shame.

I understand that some of the features from the Nest App are not available in the Google Home app. We appreciate you taking your time sharing with us your ideas and thoughts. I'd suggest you send feedback about this using this form to let the Google Engineering team know about this. While they won't respond directly back to you, this is the best way to let them know about this.
