Nest cam indoor idle / unavailable from nest hubs

I'm having ongoing issues streaming my indoor nest cam to my nest hubs. 

Often, the camera will fail to stream unless I first start streaming from another device (Eg phone). Then intermittently, the feed will drop and I will see either 'idle' or 'feed not available'. It seems like the camera is going to sleep, and steaming to a nest hub isn't enough to keep it awake. 

The camera used to be reliable (possibly before transitioning to google home from the nest app?) 

It seems to be stable / reliable steaming to Android phones, Web browsers or Chromecasts.

This is really frustrating - is there any way to progress a bug report?

By "transitioning to google home from the nest app" do you mean that you transferred your indoor camera from the Google Nest app to the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app?  I think there's an option in that version to send feedback about the beta (test) version.

We've been avoiding the beta version, in part because it is beta (test), and in part because there's no option to transfer our doorbells, because we would lose use of the home.nest.com website, and because the Google Home app still lacks many Nest app features.
