Hi Antoneym,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that and for the delayed response. Let's sort this out. What's the voltage of your transformer? Are the wires securely connected into the doorbell? Do you have a mechanical or electronic chime? Also, is your chime duration enabled in your doorbell settings in the Nest app?

Have a look at this guide to troubleshoot (see "Wired installations" section).

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

JT

It worked for past few years no issues. If I take it out and touch the wire it chime. It’s mechanical one. I think voltage is 24 or what ever the standard is. No I don’t have any delays set

If I press 3-4 times continuously then it chime.

Hi Antoneym,

Got it, thanks for following up. and I appreciate your efforts. Going over the steps here might help:

  1. Open your Nest app, go to Settings > Nest Hello > Chime duration.
  2. Make sure that the chime isn't disabled (Settings > Nest Hello > Chime) or its duration is reduced.
  3. Check if Quiet Time is enabled. This should be turned off.
    • Go to the live feed > check if Quiet Time is turned off.

Let me know if that helps.

Regards,

JT
