Nest doorbell cracking display

Seem to not handle UK weather as its falling apart of the display, is this normal behaviour?

There are hundreds of posts in this forum about peeling on the face of Google Nest Hello Doorbells. Google Nest says they "cannot" replace them if they are older than the 1-year warranty.

We bought silicone "skins" on Amazon to cover the shards on two of our Nest Hellos.
