Turning on Nest Cam with routine

In an earlier thread people complained that its not possible to turn on / off Nest cam with Google Assist routine (only time setting). Why did you close that post? Its still not working. I am totally pissed to find it out the hardway. I bought 2 cams to do exactly that. Turn on and show me the cam on request and its not working! Are you joking? Can you fix this  with software update? What a shame. I never thought this could not work.

This isn't something that's broken, it's never been possible to do this to my knowledge. You can't turn on or off Nest Cams using a routine, they're security devices that are designed to be always on. 

This is mostly a user to user community, therefore if this is important to you, I’d encourage you to also send this feedback directly to Google. You will not receive a response, unless Google need more details from you, however the team are still reading the feedback.
