My nest doorbell face is peeling. What is being done about this issue? My unit was installed in 2019. This should not be happening due to the exorbitant price that it costs. Not to mention the installation costs to have it set up.

Mine did exactly the same. Google replaced it as it was within the warranty period (just) but the new one has gone exactly the same. Definitely a quality control issue

I just discovered my 2.5 year old Nest Hello is doing the exact same thing. It would be nice if Google would step up and do the right thing and offer replacement parts.

Hi folks,
We understand where you’re coming from. However, we won’t be able to process a return for your device since this is already out of warranty. You can reach our Google Nest Support team for further assistance.
We’ll be here if there’s anything else.
Regards,
Steve

Why doesn't Google nest contact their design team and nake a product that doesn't do this? It's obvious that this product ends up peeling. It's horrible to the consumer. These plastic pieces are cheap and dont last. I think it's time that this product be recalled. The consumer is the one who loses out on money when a product does not hold up. A 1 year warranty is a joke on a product you pay hundreds of dollars for.
