New camera has less range of movement

I just got a new nest cam and noticed it now has limited range in movement up and down. I usually point the camera all the way down to watch my pets, but the camera now doesn’t point all the way down. Now I have to tape it sideways to have more range of view. Why would they make a product worse than the original? I want the original cam back. Hate the new version.
