Hi

I have a google home in my house and I have just had the google hello doorbell fitted. I have both apps (home and nest) installed on my pixel. I'm trying to add the doorbell to home, so that when someone rings the doorbell, it rings on the google home. When I go into the home app, press the +, setup device, click works with google, Nest isn't listed. However the doorbell must be linked because if I say to the home "hey google, show me the front door" it will stream the camera. I feel like I'm missing something really simple, but I just can't work out how to get it to show on my home app.

Hi Andy,

As long as you are using the same Google Account for Nest, as you are with Google Home (which it sounds like you are), there should no longer be any need to link your Nest Account as you would with other third party services.

Can you try asking Google to "Sync my Devices" then close and reopen the Home app. Scroll down to the bottom and see whether your doorbell has appeared, waiting to be assigned to a room.

Let me know how you get on.

All the best,

Hi shbryant,

Thank you for reaching out to us and posting in our Community.

A few questions: what type of Nest Doorbell do you have? What is the color of the status light? Are you using the Google Home or Nest app? Also, do you have an iOS or Android device?

You can check out the handy guides below:

Keep me posted.

Best,

Lance
