Nest doorbell sound

ThamiS

My Nest doorbell has not been working properly for a few weeks now. When someone rings the doorbell and I try to speak to them, I only hear static. They also only hear me as static. Additionally, when they ring the bell, it keeps ringing constantly. Does anyone know what I can do about this?

Many people are having issues with no sound during live video. Will attach a link to the thread with the no sound issues. Not sure about the ringing for the doorbell that keeps continuing. But it's mainly no sound when viewing live video.

Google really needs to fix this. It's been mentioned in the forum that it's been pushed up to the right people but we've asked for updates to be provided in that thread.

Hello everyone,

@ThamiS, i’m sorry if you had to experience this with your Nest doorbell. Let me help you out. Just to check: what type of Nest doorbell are you using? Have you checked if the microphone is enabled on the Nest or Google Home app? Do other home members experience the same issue with their phones?

@1in1class, our team has already escalated this case to one of our higher support, and we are still waiting for any new information about the case.

I look forward to your response.

Best,
Edmond

@zoeuvre If you could help with the updates to this issue. For creating another thread there are many like this and one with many people on it is the attached link provided above.

Please email me with your solution. We also have this problem. It just started this month with our nest doorbell. Thank you

@Ahm52889 This is a software issue on Google part. They have to update their cameras.

Check out the link:https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Cameras-and-Doorbells/Nest-cameras-and-doorbell-have-no-audio...

It's on this forum and you can see many are having the no sound during live video. It's a very big issue that hasn't been given any update on the progress. Many people pay for their services and some are already reaching out to media outlets. You will find even their own pixel phones are having issues. But they have been rolling out updates for their other products/apps.

Link is not working.

Try this, might have forgotten a line in there somewhere.

Let me know if your not able to get in that link.

Hey everyone,

I’m sorry for the delayed response. Just checking if you are still getting the same issue with the audio sound after getting the new software version of Google Home (3.9) or Nest App (5.73) that was rolled out 2 weeks ago on both Android and iOS devices.

Regards,
Edmond
