This is the 2nd thread I'm posting for the same issue. As I stated on June 14th, I deleted and reinstalled the Nest App and was able to login to Nest App on my iPhone. The Nest App kept me logged in for about 1 month. Now (July 16th) it is requesting me to login AGAIN.

Hello, this is just a user forum so I don't know if anyone will know how to fix this. But I can escalate it and lets see if that get you some assistance.
Once you get it resolved please return here and let us know what the problem was. This might help someone running into the same issue

Hey there,
I wanted to follow up and see if you are still in need of any help. Have you had the chance to try the suggestion above? If yes, how is it?
Best,
Alex

I was able to fix the issue. The Nest subscription is under my husband's name and email and he pays for it. In the past, I was able to log on, using his email and password, on my nest app but suddenly the log in screen kept just crashing when I'd put the info in. Worked for years but recently didn't. What I did was I had him add me in the family google app with another email of mine. He sent an invite to join his google home. I clicked accept. I was then able to log on to the nest app with my own gmail . It didn't crash.

I keep getting logged out of the app on all apple devices. All different models of iphone and ipad. When I try to sign-in with google, it works successfully for one second and then signs me out immediately.
The Nest app has been deleted and reinstalled multiple times. Please process an update for the app for apple products.

Perhaps you should consider contacting Support, using the link and instructions in the post below.
Maybe there's something messed up with your Google Nest "home/structure" on Google Nest's servers that Google Nest needs to fix. We have iPhones and an iPad and are not seeing this.

Hi - I can login via a windows operating system through a chrome browser (and cookies enabled, shocking…).
It’s only an iPad iPhone issue and it had been working fine for years. Maybe Google shouldn’t have interfered with the login system and left it with what it was originally created with.
If Google doesn’t want to spend the money and time maintaining its products, it should get out of the product business.
08-20-2023 07:55 AM
Try contacting Support. There are a few other posts with the same issue, so it seems Google Nest has changed something, but it's not affecting everyone. (We still have access on our iPhones and iPad.)

I have exactly the same issue. Tried so many troubleshooting steps and nothing works!!!!! I can’t do anything with all the devices installed at home. This is ridiculous…

Same issue. Login via google, app loads my home for two seconds, then immediately logs me back out.
works fine in Safari. Only the app is not working. Frustrating as hell.
08-23-2023 01:50 PM
is it under your name (the subscription?) Mine was doing this and I resolved the issue. see my above post
08-23-2023 02:15 PM
For me at least, I have only ever had one account with Nest, under my one primary gmail address. I'm the account owner of both, so I don't think this applies to me. However, I have demonstrated that I can use a secondary gmail account to create a Nest account and log in without it kicking me out, which just reinforces the problem is app-interaction account-based (as does your experience I think).
08-20-2023 07:47 PM
You probably already tried this but if now, delete the app from the phone Fully power-cycle the phone, reinstall the app and log in and see if that fixes it. If it doesn't then you should definitely follow the advice of MPLScustomer and create a ticket and speak with an actual Google Nest tech person.
08-21-2023 01:42 AM
You’re correct that I’d already tried it but I tried again for gits and shiggles and of course still the same issue. I also can see the problem is only occurring on my main login; I used a different email address to create a nest account and log in and it works fine. Incredibly stupid and frustrating problem, especially since google home doesn’t support gen 1 cam notifications or nest protect

Same. This is not a hardware issue but something backend preventing certain accounts on certain devices (maybe with certain IP addresses) from logging in (black listed??). Using a different account is so far the only solution I found. I also deleted my old gmail from Nest/Google Home and plan to add it back after a few months to try.
I just can't believe this issue exists for years. We already know Google support is not able to help and yet you guys still just ask ppl to waste time on another call instead of reporting this to the right team.
08-21-2023 07:07 AM
I suggested contacting Support because I'm just another customer and have no way of reporting this issue to the right team, and judging from the responses on this thread from Google Nest Community Specialists, they haven't reported it either, since there is no acknowledgment at all that Google Nest Support is investigating this.

Just FYI I have tried:
- connect VPN
- disconnect VPN
- use wifi
- not use wifi
- all combinations of the above 4
- make sure everything is the latest version
- restart iphone
- delete Nest app and reinstall
- delete Nest app, install a random app, then reinstall Nest
- all combinations of the above 3
- delete all safari cookies and history
- remove account from Nest/Google home and add it back
- log in thousand times hoping maybe one time can work because it's annoying af to sell all my nest cameras and install a whole new different system
It is NOT a device issue. It's Google poor product design and poor security measure. If I can choose again I will never go with Nest ever again. Next time I need to change the camera system for any reason, Nest will never be on my list.

#preach - it only let's me give 1 Kudos, but I'd sit here and click as many times as I can for a minute if it would let me.

So after reaching out to Google via instagram while I was able to talk to someone it really got nowhere other than them having me submit a form with a case number.
@YB77 - I have done those same steps plus reboot all my home devices where applicable, including routers and modem, tried using my iPad, and tried removing google permissions for Nest and re-adding. Still nothing. It’s frustrating as fs@k.
At this point I don’t know what to do either other than keep this thread alive because obviously this issue has not been resolved.
I’m open to other suggestions that don’t involve buying new google product(s), using Google Home with existing products, and/or factory resetting my basically brand new phone.
08-22-2023 06:55 AM
@Mopmarshyelp456 , This is a stretch but what kind of gmail account do you have? In order for the nest cams to work properly it is my understanding that you must have a PERSONAL USE account (see below)
08-22-2023 08:39 AM
I appreciate the suggestion even if it’s a long shot but my account is personal only. I’ve had it since gmail was in beta actually. I’m old yo.
08-22-2023 10:57 AM
LOL,,,,me too! Oh well it was worth a suggestion at this point. As a computer guy I just have this feeling it is something simple if you could just get to the right person that is buried somewhere in Google. Please post something if you get this resolved.
08-22-2023 02:17 PM
Oh believe me if I figure it out I’ll post far and wide. It’s so discouraging to see how many folks have had this problem and gotten no solution. I miss pre-google Nest 😕
08-22-2023 02:50 PM
I have the same issue. Wife had it for a long time. I guess at some point it started working for her. Now, I am having the same issue.
08-22-2023 02:51 PM
I can see all of my devices using the "Home" on my iPhone, but the Nest app appears to authenticate, then immediately logs me out.
08-22-2023 02:52 PM
I’m sorry yo. It’s frustrating as hell.
Im trying to keep this thread active until some sort of answer is found fwiw. I’m still troubleshooting on my end but I think this is a google accounts problem. Something in their login verification or persistence of it is broken but only for some people. Idk though.
08-22-2023 02:57 PM
Here is a video link of me trying it a few times.

So I contacted “made by google” instagram account yesterday and they eventually gave me a case number (40705555) and had me submit a form on the google nest help page. I havent heard anything since.
if there’s another way to contact them that isn’t phone or chat (because fid knows chatting with them yesterday was hell; “did you restart phone?” “I literally told you I did that one line ago”) I’m game.
08-23-2023 10:10 AM
I'm gonna try a contact I have and see if I can get some attention to this. It has not happened to me but I know this must be super frustrating.
08-23-2023 10:20 AM
Thank you! I’ve also tried pulling up logs via console on my Mac but the results are perplexing. I’ll paste here after work.
To be clear it looks like the issue is definitely related to “sign in with google” on the iOS iPhone/iPad Nest app. Looking in the recent Nest app reviews I can see multiple other folks having this issue starting in the past week - for me it was first observed 8/20 07:34 Central. I confirmed it happens only on my main account, on both the iPhone and iPad. If I create a new account using a different (personal) google email I can log in the app successfully. I do not wish to abandon my account and move all devices though.
the fact that the Nest Protects are unreachable entirely at this point is just a freaking safety hazard. It’s embarrassing for Google and I’m so incredibly angry and disappointed.
if y’all know of any other smart smoke/CO2 detection systems that are better supported please let me know.

You can open the Google Home App and see your cameras. It does not have near the functionality as the Nest app. But works for now.
08-23-2023 11:53 AM
It does not work sufficiently; i cannot view history, only events. So yeah, I can use it for something that I don't want it for 🙂 Nor is it sending alerts on camera activity which is the primary reason I have that camera. But thank you for the suggestion.

For the past 2 days my nest cam app won't let me log in. It keeps crashing. I have an iPhone. I've never had this issue before. I log in with google. It worked on my Mac but not the iPhone. I tried shutting down phone, deleting app and restarting. Changing password and also deleting content off my phone. Very annoying that it will not work.
