New Modem has ruined my life

Hazulia

I got a new Netgear modem. Same AirPort Extreme router that was working fine before hand. Laptop, phone, TV, iPad all connect fine. 3 nest cameras will not connect. At all. When I go to set them up again they say the network password is wrong. ( Its not. ) I have two other cameras that will not connect either. I have placed them all very close to router but honestly, they were all working before. Please help. Im so frustrated.

Try resetting your camera and add them as a new one. I had the same experience with my new router.

I tried resetting and re-adding. Doesn't work. can't even hard reset.

I finally hard reset my router. I was able to add two of the cameras but not the 3rd. It was working intermittently to start with. Off for months at a time and then will occasionally connect. I still can't get it on.

Take care for having the latest Google home and nest firmware on your Apple device. Reset is very important to do it as the manual prescribed and memory must of the device has to be empty by disconnecting the powercord fore some minutes.
Adding the cameras should be done one by one and start with the first one nearby one that’s already working. If this is not possible check the failure message. This message helped me to add the first one along my iPhone’s personal hotspot which was activated by the help message of Nest. The next camera to be ad has to be placed besides the first added one.

If this all is of no succes you can ask for support from Google to have a call to your phone number. Finding this support can be done on www.support.Google.com.

I hope you succeed.

Thank you. All of my Apple firmware updates automatically. I was unable to update the cameras because I got a message that they were incompatible with Mac......

Hi Hazulia, strange that one camera doesn’t install. Is the WiFi signal oké where it has to operate and did it ad as a new camera into your router?

Updating a Google (?) Nest (?) camera wich is incompatible with Mac seems to be strange for me. I’m not familiar with Mac and ask myself if Mac has anything to do with updates for Google Nest devices. I have my cameras shortly and don’t know how these devices update yet.

You should get in touch with Google support to solve this issue.

Hey folks.

Your Nest devices update automatically if they are connected to a strong wifi connection. You can also restart them and that should also do the trick.

Best regards,

Brad.
