This camera used to function. Now it appears to connect but will not display live video. I have spent a considerable amount of time in here searching for like topics to no avail.
Only once in all my times of trying to connect it did I get an error 231, which is weird because I have many others cameras connected. Can anyone help before I throw this camera away? Side note: I did replace it with a more updated outdoor camera, and that one works fine.

Hello, a few questions:
So you can look at recorded events just fine?
What kind of WIFI router do you have? Is it Nest brand? If it is try this:
Also, what happens if you look at the live image from the web? If you have an older cam that uses the NEST app then you can view the cameras at https://home.nest.com/. If you have the newer generation cams then you should be able to view at home.google.com.

Yes. I have Google Nest wi-fi. When I go into preferred activities, I have only one box that says video conferencing, and it is unchecked.
Also, this was connected many months ago, and won't connect now at all, so there's no history to even view for THIS camera.

Did you change WIFI routers recently?
Also, are you saying you have other cameras up and running okay? I maybe possible that this camera has just malfunctioned. You could try and do a full factor reset and then try and re-add it back. Be sure to follow these instructions closely. You are not doing a restart, you are doing a full factory reset...
Make sure you pick the correct camera....

We did change routers, yes, but the camera wouldn't work even before that. Yes, we have approximately 10 other cameras working fine on that wi-fi. Thank you. I will attempt the full factory reset tomorrow. Appreciate the help.

Hi Shortnsassy,
Thanks for posting here in the Community. How's it going with your Nest Camera? Check the power supply and restart the Nest Camera if you haven't yet performed a factory reset on the device. Next, check that your network is functioning properly and upgrade your Nest and Home App firmware to the most recent versions.
Let me know how that goes.
Thanks for your help, @EmptyNester.
Best,
Zoe
