Last year, when I would get a notification from my drop cam on my watch, it would include a photo preview much like the notifications on the phone. However, they suddenly disappeared and we no longer get the photo preview. All we get is the "Open on phone" button. When will we get the photo previews back? I shouldn't have to look at my phone to see what used to be available on my Wear OS watch.
Please bring this feature back!

Wear OS is not handling the Nest preview notifications correctly. When will this be fixed? I paid a lot of money for all my cameras and my Wear OS device, and a simple feature like this has been broken for a while now.
When can we expect a fix for this Google?

Hello. So I'm also experiencing the same issue as the folks above me are describing. My first Nest camera was the Nest Hello using the Nest app. Notifications on my Fossil watch running wear OS would work perfectly but they have since stopped. I use a Google Pixel 3 for my phone. I figured since the Nest for watches app was no longer supported, that was the likely cause. Just yesterday I bought and installed the Nest floodlight. That only uses the Google home app. I assumed I would at least get pictures on my watch for notifications from the floodlight, but no. Both camera notifications on my Wear OS watch only notify me and offer a button to open on phone. Probably the most irritating thing about all this is the fact that this isn't a problem with iOS devices using nest cameras. My brother uses an iphone with an apple watch. He's got a nest doorbell and a nest floodlight too but his watch notifications actually show a preview of what triggered the cameras. Please address why this is and if there will ever be a fix. Thanks.

Please fix the push notifications for the cameras on the google home app for the apple watch. This is not right that this feature has not worked since google took over Nest! It worked perfectly on the Nest app.

I cant believe this hasn't been addressed, this is such a needed feature both ring and wyze support this...I could be wrong but I suspect it's because nest is showing the previews as a gif at least it seems that way and perhaps that not supported on wear OS 3. BTW I'm running on the new battery powered cams and new doorbell and the newest wear os device galaxy watch 4. if this turns out to be the root cause, please enable an option to use static images and not moving ones....

This thread was just closed: Old Thread
This problem still exists, so yes... we still need help. Notification previews do not exist on Wear 99.9% of the problem since it can not handle video previews. As a professional Android Engineer, this is not a difficult fix to properly handle video notifications. This could literally take less than a day's work for a new Android dev.
Please, fix this! "Open on phone" is pointless!

Now the notifications intermittently show a photo on my apple watch not consistent for time sensitive alerts...also my husband and I are both getting double alerts on each of our devices one after the other and they are both blank. When will this be fixed. This used to work great on the Nest app.

This renders the google home app useless if I can not see picture notifications from my cameras on my apple watch as we did with the Nest app. There has to be a way to fix this problem. Also both my husband and I are getting 2 alerts for the same notification one after the other on each of our devices. This has to be a fault in the programming as well.
