Old number attached to account and cant receive verification number

I'm just needing to figure out how to get back into my account. I didn't use my camera for a year or so and now I'm trying to hook it back up.

You need to log into your account first and edit your profile information for you to update the phone number attached on your Nest account. You need to contact your phone service provider’s support for help regaining access to your old phone number.
