Peeling Nest Hello Doorbell - looks horrible

My nest hello is peeling really bad and looks horrible.  Its now past its two year warranty but obviously there's some type of design defect in it or its manufacturing process?   Does anyone know if they've been recalled or how to get it replaced ?   A $200+ product shouldn't deteriorate this fast.
