Recent Event Playback Not Working

Recent event videos are not playing back. When I select any recent event of the same day, the video does not play back and only an image from the event would display. When I select the event, a blue bar at the bottom of the image would progress, but would then stop midway. I do not have a Nest Aware subscription, but when I first installed Nest Hello, events from recent history (same day) would play back. No issues with live video.

 

Troubleshooting tried:

reseted Nest Hello via back button, updated wifi connection, deleted history, toggled active history

To better understand what’s going on, I’d like to ask some questions.
 

  • Is your Nest doorbell the wired type?
  • Is all of your history missing or just certain portions?
  • How is the Wi-Fi connection in that part of the house?
  • What is the light status of your Nest doorbell?

Give these steps a try:

 

  • Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Nest App and Google Home App.
  • Try restarting your Wifi network.
