Record live video on nest cam

Is there a way to view the Live Stream on the Home App and record a clip of what you're watching? I'm asking about a manual way to initiate recording a clip, not via motion alerts.
It looks like this was possible prior to the camera only being viewable through the Home App.

• Do you still need help with this issue?
• You cannot choose to record live footage unless it is being registered as an 'Event'
• Do you have a Nest Aware subscription by chance? You can learn more here.
• What other troubleshooting steps have you done thus far?
