Slow camera charging even when using the supplied cable and charger

When I charge my outdoor nest cam battery, it takes a very long time to charge to 100% and my app tells me that it is charging slowly and that I should use the supplied cable and charger for a fast charge.  Even though I am using the supplied charger and cable!  Is there a way to solve this for faster charging?

We have a Google Nest Camera (Battery) but ours is plugged in all the time with the optional power cable and it stays "Live" with 100% battery all the time.

I've seen some customer posts where the short charging cord turned out to be defective. This post reported the same message you did; it's as if the camera can recognize there's a problem with the cord:

Also, last week Google Nest Support finally disclosed that the new battery cameras and doorbells can't charge the battery at temperatures below freezing:

Thank you.  I know that when I first bring the camera inside it charges slowly due to low temperature.  And as the camera warms up, the message changes from the unit is too cold to charging slowly and to use the supplied charger and cord.  So based upon your first post link, I must have the defective cord as well.  How do I request a new cord?
