Suggestion - Don't count lighting changes as motion

My wired Nest Hello doorbell frequently notifies me of "motion" which is actually just a change in lighting conditions.  As cloud cover changes, or exterior lights come on/go off, the Nest infrastructure will often "detect" motion.  These are basically false positives.  It shouldn't be too hard to eliminate these with all of Google's AI wizardry.  If the scene hasn't really changed, don't notify me.

Hi there,

I apologize for my late response and thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I understand how frustrating your situation must be, and I would love to help however I can. Do you still need assistance?

Best Regards,

Brad.

Hi Brad, I don't really need assistance from the community.  This isn't a settings or configuration issue.  I've had a Nest Hello with full service for 3 or 4 years now.  This is about Nest motion detection algorithms not being smart enough to tell the difference between actual motion and simple lighting changes, like those that happen when cloud cover changes.  I get plenty of false motion events when literally nothing is happening out front of my house, simply because a cloud has passed over.  Motion detect should be smart enough to recognize simple brightness changes and/or shifts in cloud cover without declaring a motion event.

So this is a request for a better cloud algorithm from Nest, not a "how do i configure this" request.

Thanks.
