Time interval between new notifications

Hi,

When i use a zone with notifications I get a notification when someone enters the zone. Then it takes a really long time a new notification is being sent for the same kind of activity.

In the meanwhile someone else is entering the zone after the first recording is finished. Now no new notification is being sent then. Also the Home app is not saying the Cam is active although there is a recording made and visible in the history after some time.

Why is it not possible to send me a new notification after a recording is stopped for like two minutes already? The new situation could be a thief at the door etc.
Is there any way to change this in " always send me a notification" or do we depend on the estimate of Google this is the same kind of activity and they choose for us not to get notified?

Cheers,

Maarten

I agree this would be a nice feature.  I have a few cams from other manufacturer and they take it one step further and let the user select for each camera's notifications how many "cool down" minutes you would like to set.

Hi, what brand and type is that you are using. For me this is really important, dont understand (and couldnt believe) this is not even an option on these Nest cams

Hello Miedele,  After I purchased the new Google Nest cams and learned right away that they didn't work with the NEST app I returned them. So I started searching for another platform.  I tried Arlo and ended up retuning them.  Arlo is very good but they had some draw backs.  So I watched a bunch of youtube videos and I landed on the cams from Eufy.  These camera are not only priced very reasonable they have a ton of features in them including setting the cool down period.  But what really work fantastic is that (like the new nest cams) they have an on-board chip that does the intelligent motion detection. I get close to zero false alerts as I have it set to only alert me for PEOPLE.  Also, because the chip is in the camera is it pretty fast and sending the alerts.

Here is the screen shot from the app on my iPhone that shows you can set the cool down time from 0 to 5 minutes.

Many thanks @EmptyNester!! Really appreciate it. Still also hope the Nest makers are fixing this for their customers. Will take a look at your devices brand. Cheers!
