Unable to mount doorbell due to defective button on back of device

The small button on the back of the doorbell which secures it in place is stuck inward. There is no way to secure the doorbell if that button does not protrude outward. I have seen other posts referencing the same issue. The problem is that it is impossible to get in touch with a live person to rectify the issue. I see others referred to a help section online but you do not get a response from google. There is essential no support from Google!

What happens when you try these steps?

  1. Go to Contact Us - Google Nest Help
  2. Select "Doorbell", type a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
  3. Click "Other", then click "Next step" until you see the contact options.
  4. Choose to get a call or call or chat with the team as available in your country.
