new nest battery cam

new nest battery cam shows nothing only time i get to see anything on it is if i have it on live view drove two different cars by it and shows nothing

We've had a battery camera for 22 months, plugged in with the optional power cable. It detects and records events as well as our older cameras, but if we unplug it and walk in front of the camera, it does not wake up from "Idle" to detect and record the event.

Ours is plugged in because we wanted to buy another Google Nest Outdoor Camera, but Google Nest quit selling them at the same time.
