Wired 100%. The battery one has so many limitations from not being able to use the Nest app, to recording limitations and the fact you need a charge. If you have an existing wired doorbell, definitely get the wired Hello.

Battery life is terrible no matter what google says - wired all the way to the North Pole

I have the Nest Battery door bell. It can be powered by the built-in battery and per Google, needs to recharged every few months. However, I also have an existing traditional doorbell with chime. Connecting the Nest Battery doorbell to the existing system keeps it powered and therefore I do not need to worry about recharging the Nest Battery doorbell. You may want to consider this as it provides flexibility to do either option i.e. battery power as well as continuous power without needing to recharge

The nest battery doorbell I've found useless as im lucky to capture anyone calling except for a fleeting glance of the back of their head. It appear to be a common issue and why google even sold it without making the product work. So I suggest you avoid the nest battery doorbell as it serves no purpose other than become an expensive purchasing error. Myself lesson learnt wont buy nest ever again
