i had the chromecast new for Christmas and my daughter was helping me to make it work.I thought she showed me all the apps available on my iPad.The tv does work but when I turn on the app there is not much to see.

I have no experience with this.I don’t think it’s working though so what can I do.I am using the right wifi network and my password is correct.

Assuming Living room TV is your Chromecast then it looks like it is setup correctly. Now you have to open apps that you want to cast from, for example Netflix.
You can also search the App Store for other Chromecast apps depending on what you want to do.
I'm not familiar with that app but with the third generation Chromecast you would open the app on the phone and see if it has a cast icon near the corner (typically there but doesn't have to be).
