Can’t find chrome cast on google home app

Hi - 

I had to change my WiFi network since I moved away and now I have a new wifi, upon trying to connect the chrome cast to the new wifi I wasn’t able to. The solution offered online stated to reset the chrome cast with the button on the side, so I did and tried several times more because the google home app does not recognizes the chrome cast. I have verified  the Internet connection, wifi, Bluetooth on, but haven’t succeeded. Please help. thesw are images of what I can see on my phone and on the screen.

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear that you are having an issue setting up your Chromecast devices. Let's sort this out.

 

Quick questions — what's the LED light status in your Chromecast (solid or flashing white)? What's the distance between the router and the Chromecast device? Please manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: Go to the phone’s Settings > Open WiFi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set up again.
