When I cast through chromecast, it says this device is not optimised for casting, so your experience may vary and just shows a black screen with the device having a white stable light
I've tried rebooting the device and all but nothing has worked

Hi nomans113,
Thanks for reaching out. Let's check on this further.
What is the make and model of your mobile phone? Are you getting this message in all Chromecast-enabled apps? Please make sure your phone's OS is updated and reboot your phone and Chromecast again. Using a different mobile phone and resetting your Chromecast might also help.
Thanks,
Jennifer

I've tried it with Samsung S9+ and Oneplus, both had latest iOS and ive also tried it after rebooting my chromecast however, still had no luck.

Hello nomans113,
Thanks for the update. To confirm, when you received the message that your device is not optimized for casting and your TV shows a black screen, are you mirroring your phone's screen through the Google Home app or casting directly from the Chromecast-enabled app? Please try to plug in the Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV and try to shutdown your TV completely then turn it back on after 1 minute. Plugging in your Chromecast into a different TV screen might also help.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Hey there nomans113,
Did you have any more questions or need any additional help?
Thank you,
Jeran

Yes, do need some help, because none of the mentioned solutions have worked for me yet.

Hey nomans113,
No problem at all! Just to double-check, does this occur when mirroring your Android screen, or when casting from an app? If it occurs when casting from an app, does it happen in multiple apps, or just one particular app? To be safe, I would also take a look to make sure your devices meet the requirements for the Chromecast.
I look forward to your response on this!
Best regards,
Jeran

It happens with both, while mirroring and casting through an app.
i have tried it with multiple apps as well. and yes my device meets the requirements for chromecast.

Hey there,
I'm sorry for the late response. I'm afraid we can only get this info once the device is already added to the Google Home app. Could you please tell me why you can't add the device in the Google Home app? Are you getting any messages when setting it up using the Google Home app?
Thanks,
Jennifer

Im having the same problem my tablet says - This device is not optimised for casting, so your experience may vary. Im using google home app to try and cast my tablet onto my tv. My tv is an android tv and my tablet is Samsung. It does connect but everything is pixelated and very low quality
