Chromecast not connecting

I recently changed Internet providers and tried reconnecting my Chromecast to our new internet. I done a factory reset on the chromecast, it pops up on the TV with the welcome screen. However once I download the Google Home App onto my device, it doesn't recognise the Chromecast number provided on TV or seem to connect when 'looking for new devices'. Very strange as it pops up in my Wifi options on Apple iPhone however no connection made on App. Please help as I would love to watch and cast programs

Did you remove the Chromecast from your Google Home app before trying to set it up as a new device? 😊

tsehaimarie17, it's us again. Do you still need help? If yes, please make sure the Local Network Access is enabled for the Google Home app in your phone's settings. Also, try to manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: go to the phone settings > Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set it up again.
