Hey there JavierOrtiz,
Looks like there is still some unanswered questions from the previous thread, let me go ahead and double-check them to make sure.
We can look deeper into where the root of the problem is after you answer those questions, since you already confirmed you tried multiple casting devices, we can rule that out.
I look forward to your response, and I appreciate your patience!
Best regards,
Jeran

Hey there,
Go ahead and give these steps a try, these steps are coming from the Guest Mode article, in the section Troubleshoot when the device isn't found:
If you want to cast to your host’s device, but the Cast button never shows up or “Nearby device” never shows up when you tap the Cast button, check that you’ve allowed Google to scan local networks:
Let me know what happens with that, I look forward to your response!
Thank you,
Jeran

Hi, in my android 11 devices this setting was already on, i disabled and re enabled just to be sure and same issue.
it always showed "nearby device" and ask for a pin, but pin wont show up on screen and not auto sync with infrasounds.

Hey there! Just to double-check, what model of Chromecast do you have? For example, the new Chromecast with Google TV does not have the ability to use Guest Mode. I want to make sure that we aren't trying to troubleshoot for a feature that does not exist!

Jeran

As i already said this is not the Google tv one. Is the Chromecast 3 1080p the grey rounded one.
As i said this was working fine on this model at 2019. Not working rn
Tried on few brand new units to be sure it's not a hardware fault, same issue.
I'm 99% sure we are facing a firmware bug.

Hey there JavierOrtiz,
I'm really sorry about the slow response time on this thread. Would you be able to enroll in the Preview Program for your Chromecast devices? The Preview Program is early access to features and improvements on their device, and helps Google find and fix bugs before features are released to everyone. Afterwards, make sure to reboot the Chromecast devices to pick up an update.
Let me know if that fixes that guest mode issue! If not working or if not possible, go ahead and submit feedback via Google Home app with the keywords "CC Guest mode no pin" so we can raise this issue up to our engineering team.
Best regards,
Jeran

ok, I'm a bit bussy ATM but will try to do it ASAP. Thank you.

ok, done, i joined the preview program but chromecast still facing same issue. Anyway it's still waiting for next preview firmware release. So no changes on the firmware ATM. I'll report you back if a firmware update fixes the issue.
I did the report too. Just from another mail account like s******s@m********s.com
11-05-2021 08:57 AM
Awesome, thank you for doing that! I'm real sorry to hear that the issue is still occurring, rest assured that the engineering department is aware of this issue. To be transparent, I am not sure when the next firmware release will be, sadly.
In the meantime, did you have any more questions or concern that we need to address?
Best regards,
Jeran

Thank you so much! Then, for now, I'm gonna lock up the thread. If you run into any more issues in the future, please make a new thread.
Have a good one!
