TV and Computer audio plays simultaneously when casting entire screen through chrome

On my computer (Windows 11) when I cast my entire screen through chrome to my chromecast the audio plays on both the computer and the TV at the same time which creates a really distracting echo.

If I try to turn the volume on my computer down it also turns down the volume on the TV.

If I plug in headphones to my computer the TV becomes muted and plays no audio.

If I connect to a wireless speaker the sound plays on the speaker but not the TV, which is the opposite of how it should be, and the result is that the video on the TV is out of sync with the audio.

In this article it is stated that audio "might" play from the computer when casting. I don't really understand that since using an HDMI cable does not have this issue, so logically the same thing could be done.

If there's any other workaround to get the audio to play on the Chromecast and not on my computer that would be great to know, otherwise I'll just use an HDMI cable and avoid the hassle.
