VGA output VIA USB C hub Chromecast HD

Rav93

Hello,

I have Chromecast HD working great but I wish to connect it to projector with VGA input only. I wish to buy USB C hub with ethernet usb inputs and also VGA output to avoid buying additional HDMI to VGA adapter. Is it possibile to output video via USB C hub from Chromecast?

Chromecast is designed be connected to the HDMI input of a TV. Google doesn't support the use of USB-C hubs with Chromecast. That's not to say it won't work, I've seen users connect Chromecast to projectors successfully in the past. just that your mileage may vary here and Google doesn't support it.

To be honest I still have an issue but I understand that it is hard to help while there is no official support for vga via usb C. Maybe someone who tried will reply also if it works. Thanks
