I have a problem with smooth playback of movies from streaming platforms. For me, the sound plays without any problems, but the image frames are not played smoothly and with small gaps. These pauses/freezes are very short, a few frames will be "swallowed" - you can see it with the eye and it's annoying. Earlier firmware did not have these problems. How can I restore the previous firmware version?

Hi TomLaw1967,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. A few questions: what Chromecast device are you using? Is this only happening in one app or across all apps? When did it start? Also, what steps have you taken?
Give the steps below a try and let me know how it goes:
Thanks,
Kimy

Kimy: I have Google Chromecast 4 HD
All these activities have been done, I have already done some testing and reconfiguration. Unfortunately, it's still the same. Interestingly, the videos are played for about 30-60 seconds without image cuts and then the fluidity starts to freeze slightly. On the FB group, the symptom is known and everyone is waiting for the new firmware.

Unfortunately, my Google Chromecast 4 in HD does not see the new update. I tried to force it but it didn't work.

Hi TomLaw1967,
Thanks for the reply. Try to do a factory reset one last time. Set it up from scratch, then observe. Specify which apps or contents the behavior seems to persist in. It’s also crucial to test it on another TV. The objective is to identify if it’s a communication failure only between this specific TV and your Chromecast device or an actual hardware concern. Let us know once you’ve done all of this.
Thanks,
Kimy
