Nest Hub Max

Purchased a Nest Hub Max Model number GA00639-US. My purpose is to stay connected with my parents as I moved to Florida, and they live in Chicago. After I set it up it worked fine, when I moved to Florida a few weeks later my mother unplugged the device to clean and place it in a different location in the house. I know I cannot connect to the device. My parents are in their mid 70’s and technology challenged. As indicated, I am in Florida and they are in Chicago.

My question is: can I activate the device remotely? I have the receipt, serial number, and all the verifications for the purchase.

One possibility is that there is a weak Wi-Fi signal in the new location where your mother moved the Nest Hub Max.

You could ask your parents if there's a "Check Internet Connection" message displayed on the Nest Hub Max; if there is, then the device is not connected to the internet. If there is not and the Nest Hub Max is on, then they could say something like "Hey Google, what's the weather today"; if they do NOT get an answer, there could be a poor internet connection at the new location.
