Google nest hub 1 and 2 compatibility

Hi there. Have got a Nest Hub 2nd gen and am looking to get another device to be able to use broadcast functionality. So can I buy a cheaper 1st gen hub and will they be compatible, or do I need to buy another Gen 2 please? Thanks

Geeni will not connect

Yesterday all my geeni products stop being seen by Google. In the Geeni app all devices respond as they should but within Google home it refuses to connect. I've removed everything. Uninstaller reinstalled, cleared caches. Nothing works.
