Confidential Information Required to Subscribe to Nest Aware

WARNING - DO NOT BUY ANY GOIGLE NEST PRODUCTS IF YOU NEED NEST AWARE!!

What they do NOT tell you is that you will NOT be able to subscribe/renew to Nest Aware using any form of payment unless you provide extremely confidential information online.  NO ONE should be providing their GOVERNMENT ID (???!!!) or BANK STATEMENT or any other statements online.  No other company asks for this - especially not for a $150 subscription service.  And when I ask to speak to their supervisor to find out any other manner of resolving this issue the customer service people are all i overseas in Asia and incompetent and hang up on you.  Do they really want us to submit our confidential information to them online??  This is shameful.

Has anyone else resolved this in any other way?

We have had a Nest Aware subscription for 6 years (in the United States) and have only ever provided a credit card number.

I agree with MplsCustomer.. you dont need to provide any of those things, where on earth are you trying to sign up.  store.google.com/product/nest_aware is the only url you should use.
