Nest Aware Error

I accidentally canceled a 10-day subscription because I thought I could then sign up for a 5-day subscription.  We have over 10 cameras on our account.  The settings say I have to migrate to Google.  I have been trying to find a way to SPEAK TO A LIVE PERSON but getting nowhere.  Please advise.  Otherwise I may have to cancel all my cameras and get something else.

You can try contacting Google Nest Support, but unfortunately, I suspect you will need to migrate your Nest Account to a Google Account and get either a Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription instead. (We migrated in 2020.) See this Google Nest Help post on FAQs about migrating:

https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9297676

This page says "As long as you don't cancel your subscription, your Nest Aware (1st gen) subscriptions will continue to renew": https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9546397

And this page says "As of July 13, 2023, Google will no longer sell new subscriptions of 1st gen Nest Aware. Any 1st gen subscriptions that you currently have will continue to renew.": https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9233159

If you want to talk to someone at Google Nest, you could try the "Contact Us" link under "Nest Aware Premier Care" on the page below to "Get 24/7 access to Nest Aware Experts on the Nest Customer Care team. They’re available to answer questions, help you access features, and manage your subscription."

P.S., with over 10 cameras, I think the Nest Aware and Nest Aware Plus subscriptions will be cheaper than the 1st gen subscriptions, even with the price increases announced today.

Hello charter,

I  genuinely understand the inconvenience you have faced. It seems that you still have the first-generation Nest aware since you have the option for a 5-day subscription. Last July, the first generation Nest aware was no longer available for new purchases, but you can switch to the second generation Nest aware, which is much cheaper than the first generation Nest aware, especially if you have multiple Nest cameras.

One of the first steps to getting the second-generation Nest aware is to migrate your account to Google. To know more about how to switch to the second generation of Nest Aware, check out this link: Buy and manage a Nest Aware subscription.

Thanks for the input, @MplsCustomer.

Let me know if you have additional questions.

Best,
Edmond
