Nest app connectivity

I need to speak with a human, not via text. I have a real issue with my nest app not connecting to my thermostat. I have been trying to resolve my issue for weeks. Google claims they want to help but no one follows through. 
can someone please call me???

To contact Support:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

I have done the above many times to no avail. No one has a solution, just instructions to do what I have already done over and over again. Can I speak with a live person instead of texting?

Follow the instructions, avoiding selecting any of the options on the "Resources" page. Just click on "Next step" to get to the "contact options" page.  Every time I do it, I get an option for a phone callback in less than a minute.
